Thanks for the alsa tips! Alot of googling had got me nowhere until I stumbled upon this, apparently the onboard nvidia chipset didn’t want to play nice but now I’ve working sound!

Your blog has indeed provided me with some valuable information for setting up my HTPC.
Kudos and keep up the good work :D
Since i have used XBMC i have been smitten by the UI it offers. But it apperas that XBMC does not support 1080p natively.So my choice would come down to Mythbuntu.
Is it possible for you to post some UI screenshots from your HTPC?
That would be very helpful.
